3D MODELING & VISUALIZATION PORTFOLIO

Our Design Portfolio highlights the creative side of what we do—transforming ideas into compelling visual experiences. Here you’ll find examples of our conceptual designs, developed through detailed 3D modeling and high-quality visualizations.

These projects range from early-stage design studies to fully rendered presentations, each one tailored to bring clarity and excitement to a concept before it’s built. Whether it’s architectural features, furniture, or full spatial layouts, our goal is to create visuals that not only capture intent but also communicate design solutions in a way that’s engaging and easy to understand.

By blending technical precision with creativity, our design portfolio demonstrates how we help clients, partners, and design teams explore possibilities, refine ideas, and make confident decisions about the path forward.

OFFICE BUILDING CONCEPT

Design, modeling & visualization by Pine Bay Design

This two-story, 9,800 sq.ft (910 m²) office building has been designed to combine modern aesthetics with functional, adaptable workspaces. The architectural expression is defined by a mix of contemporary materials and clean, timeless lines, creating a professional yet inviting presence.

The exterior showcases fiber cement wall panels with a textured faux-concrete finish, paired with fluted Belgian composite siding in a warm “Mid-Day Rust” tone. Together, these materials create a striking façade that balances durability with sophistication. Aluminum curtain walls with triple-glazed panels provide expansive daylighting, ensuring bright, comfortable interior environments while supporting energy efficiency. Engineered wood soffit panels soften the exterior expression, adding warmth and natural contrast to the modern palette.

A defining feature of the design is the custom-crafted walnut staircase, which anchors the interior and connects the two levels. The upper floor opens into an interconnected workspace, designed to encourage collaboration while remaining flexible for a variety of tenant needs.

Above the main entry, the second-floor plate projects outward to provide a covered canopy, giving prominence to the entrance and shelter to visitors. This element is supported by a Brise-soleil composed of Glulam columns, which not only carry the structural load of the roof overhang but also function as sun-shading elements for the second floor. Together, they enrich the façade with rhythm and depth, enhancing both performance and architectural character.

Complementing the architecture, the front landscaping introduces a layer of texture and comfort with large planters arranged to frame the entry sequence. Polished granite outdoor seating provides durable, elegant gathering spots for staff and visitors, creating a streetscape that feels both professional and welcoming.

KOOCANUSA CABIN

Design, modeling & visualization by Pine Bay Design

Set against the rugged beauty of northern Montana, this cabin transforms an existing 22’ x 24’ detached garage into a warm, modern retreat along the shores of Lake Koocanusa. By extending the original slab, the footprint expands to 39’ x 22’, creating a thoughtful two-story design that balances comfort, function, and lakefront living.

The main floor (920 sq.ft) is designed for practicality and privacy, housing two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a utility room, and a welcoming front foyer. Above, the second floor (860 sq.ft) opens up under vaulted ceilings to a fully open-concept living space. Here, a large kitchen with built-in millwork seating, a dining area, and a spacious living room gather around the warmth of a traditional wood stove — the heart of the cabin. Extending off this level, a 430 sq.ft deck offers sweeping views and a seamless connection to the outdoors.

Exterior finishes ground the design in modern rustic character. A charcoal standing seam metal roof shelters the structure, while Hardie Board board-and-batten siding in Rich Espresso gives depth and durability. Charcoal-colored windows and doors integrate seamlessly with the façade, and weathered Corten steel corrugated panels accent window canopies and the west elevation with a rugged, timeworn texture that resonates with the natural landscape.

Blending contemporary materials with timeless cabin warmth, this project reimagines a utilitarian garage as a lakeside getaway designed for gathering, retreat, and lasting memories.

HILLSIDE HOUSE

Site design, modeling & visualization by Pine Bay Design

Perched dramatically on a sandstone hillside, the Hillside House is an exploration of lightness and structure. Using a weathered steel frame, the design achieves multiple cantilevers that project boldly from the slope, creating the sensation of hovering above the landscape. The steel frame not only provides the necessary strength but also allows for thin floor and roof profiles, giving the house a refined, contemporary expression.

The front half of the structure extends on slender stilts, overlooking a quiet body of water and grounding the design in its setting without disturbing the natural terrain. Corrugated steel panels clad portions of the exterior, their rugged texture complementing the patina of the exposed steel. In contrast, expansive glazing floods the interiors with natural light, framing panoramic views and connecting the home to its environment.

The result is a residence that feels at once anchored and weightless — a modern retreat where industrial materials meet the serenity of the hillside and water’s edge.
